Premium IOLs

Acrysof® ReSTOR®

The Acrysof® ReSTOR® lens provides patients peace of mind to do normal daily activities without relying on their glasses. Simple tasks such as driving and reading the newspaper become more enjoyable without having to go find your reading glasses. The ReSTOR® lens changes the focus at various distances which allow patients to see at various distances. As patients age, it becomes difficult to focus at various distances and that is when glasses become necessary. ReSTOR® can help to eliminate cataract patients of these difficulties and they’ll be able to see at a multitude of distances.

ReSTOR® IOL is considered one of the first premium lens implants to achieve a high level of success among cataract patients. Most patients have had a positive experience with the ReSTOR® and they either do not have to wear glasses anymore or only for a few small tasks. FDA data released states that 80% of patients were glasses-free following cataract surgery with ReSTOR®. Patients are provided with better vision and their eyes feel young again.

Toric IOL

For cataract patients who have astigmatism, and who do not wish to wear eyeglasses to see clearly at a distance, choosing a Toric Lens Implant can help them be free of glasses for tasks such as driving, that require clear distance vision. Toric IOL technology uses biocompatible materials that have been successfully used in contact lenses and proven safe for the eye.

Astigmatism occurs when the cornea is more oval or football-shaped instead of being a perfect sphere. The resulting vision is often blurry and distorted. Mild forms of astigmatism may not need correction, but the stronger the prescription gets, the more patients become dependent on glasses to see. Toric Lens Implants do not correct Presbyopia, and therefore even with Toric Lens Implants to correct astigmatism after cataract surgery, most patients still require reading glasses or bifocals to be able to comfortably perform near vision tasks such as reading and intermediate vision tasks such as computer work.

Crystalens

Crystalens is an artificial lens implant that, unlike a standard IOL, can treat both a person’s cataracts and presbyopia—loss of near and intermediate vision. Crystalens not only treats your cataracts; many patients hardly if ever wear glasses after surgery. It does so by recreating accommodation similar to your eye’s natural lens. The unique Crystalens is designed to allow you to enjoy a fuller, more natural range of vision for most activities, including reading a book, working on the computer, and driving a car.

Crystalens was modeled after the human eye. Like the natural lens, it is a lens implant that uses the eye muscle to flex and accommodate in order to focus on objects in the environment at all distances. Crystalens dynamically adjusts to your visual needs.
